The American Egg Board is currently seeking a Compliance Manager to join their Administration department.
Responsible for assuring timely and accurate data entry for accounting and compliance functions. Conducts scheduled audits as defined in annual audit plan, as well as unplanned audits resulting from internal requests. The successful Compliance Manager candidate will have the ability to confidently and professionally handle a wide array of projects simultaneously. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Producer/Handler Accounting & Auditing
Responsible for cash receipts, including double checking and signing off on bank reconciliation.
Oversee invoicing and collection of producer assessments.
Prepare computerized assessment reports each week and clear up any discrepancies.
Maintain accurate producer/handler computer records used to compile egg industry production statistics.
Prepare and mail handler reports weekly.
Maintain numerical AEB canceled check file.
Obtain annual verification of exempt handlers and producers.
Register new handlers.
Investigate and bring into compliance non-reporting handlers.
Develop and distribute informational material on collections; answer related questions.
Verify status of producers lacking current production figures.
Conduct and document field audits to verify production and/or initiate collection.
Contact delinquent producers by letter and phone to urge prompt payment; work with the U.S. Department of Agriculture to collect on hard-core delinquent and bankruptcy cases.
