The American Urogynecologic Society (AUGS) is seeking a full-time Membership Associate for its national headquarters in Silver Spring, MD. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent college graduate who is looking to gain experience with a non-profit organization. The position reports to the Manager of Membership Programs and focuses on membership and marketing for the Society, along with critical administrative responsibilities. AUGS is looking for someone who is customer-focused, tech savvy, organized, professional and hard working.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Membership and Administration (60%):
Serve members and other external customers via phone and email
Manage the membership application and dues renewal process
Manage the annual call for volunteers application and selection process
Manage the annual election of Board members
Process invoices, check requests, and assist with financial record keeping
Support the Manager of Membership Programs and other departments as needed
Marketing and Communications (25%):
Manage and execute the communication activities of the association with both internal and external audiences.
Create and deploy blog posts and marketing eblasts
Create content and maintain social media outlets such as Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn
Maintain the physician, patient, and annual scientific meeting mobile applications
Manage registration for AUGS’ Annual Scientific Meeting (Pelvic Floor Disorders Week), Urogyn Update Course, Fellows Cadaver and Robotics Courses; set-up registration, deploy, and generate reports.
Required Qualifications and Skills
Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications or other relevant field required
Customer service focus
Strong writing, verbal and interpersonal skills
Familiarity and/or interest in website content editing and database management
Ability to manage multiple projects at a time, and reprioritize as necessary
Able to thrive in a small staff, team environment
