Part of the Learning Department, the Manager of Sponsorships and Learning will oversee all aspects of industry partner relationships, to include developing, maintaining, and growing new and existing sponsor accounts as well as exhibit hall sales and operations. In addition, the manager will take responsibility for the registration process for all the Colorado Veterinary Medical Association (CVMA) meetings and will provide additional education program development and meeting planning support as assigned. The role will support the association and its mission by providing front line customer service skills and maintain overall knowledge of the association to assist our members and the veterinary community.
Duties and Responsibilities: Sponsor Relationship Management •Engage in proactive email, telephone, and face-to-face solicitations with both existing and prospective sponsors and exhibitors in order to meet financial performance targets established for each program, and to grow overall education revenue. •Develop lists of new potential sponsors and exhibitors, approach qualified targets, and report regularly to the CEO and Director of Learning on sales progress. •Manage the solicitation, tracking, and acknowledgement of exhibit and sponsor commitments. •Work with Communications department to create, develop, and implement marketing efforts for partnership development and sponsorship recruitment and retention. •Take ownership of the Partnership Opportunities Program and develop a robust exhibit and sponsorship portfolio of products and services. •Analyze present and past sales, as well as market trends and competition landscape to assist with future partnership opportunities.
Exhibition Management •Manage the development, execution and fulfillment of exhibitor booth sales, registration, operations, and logistics for all CVMA meetings. •Act as liaison with General Service Contractor. •Floor plan development with General Service Contractor using expertise in placement and traffic flow. •Provide on-site support to exhibitors and General Service Contractor. •Work with Director of Learning on signage and branding structure development.
Registration and Education •Create and manage all aspects of the registration process for education programs in the association’s database, including event set-up, registration entries, database updates, mailing, and emailing course confirmation letters, and weekly reports. •Assist in communicating both verbally and in writing all elements of each program to course participants and other interested parties. •Prepare on-site materials including speaker handouts, exhibitor evaluations, name badges, signs, tickets, and registration packets. •Assist with keeping program details updated and current on organization’s website. •Works with Director of Learning on pre-, post-, and on-site activities for education programs. •Create and deliver effective eLearning products as assigned. •Works closely with the Director of Learning to develop and implement marketing plans for all continuing education programs. •Monitor and adhere to program budgets.
Other Functions/Responsibilities •Shares in answering phones and responding to information requests. •Maintain constant line of communication with management to advise of current status of projects, any challenges, and the resolution of those challenges. •Other duties and ad-hoc projects as assigned.

•Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, Marketing, or other related field or discipline. •Minimum two years of demonstrated success in proactive sponsorship development and growth. •Minimum two years in meeting planning, registration and/or equivalent experience, preferably in an association or not-for-profit environment. •Experience in exhibit hall management desired. •Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously, while working in a fast-paced, high-output environment. •Ability to organize and prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, meet competing deadlines, think strategically, drive towards results through systematic and creative action, and manifest attention to detail. •A professional, positive attitude while representing the organization and working as part of a team. •Ability to exercise independent judgment while maintaining effective communication. •Effective oral and written communication skills. •Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel) and Outlook; association management system experience a plus. •Some local travel for program support, to include occasional night and weekend work. •Must have and maintain a current Colorado driver’s license. •Must have reliable and reasonable transportation for any and all employment travel needs.
