Foundation in the rural telecommunications industry is seeking a program coordinator to handle administrative functions and special projects. Primary responsibilities would include management of the scholarship program, invoicing, solicitations for fundraising, newsletter development, social media updates, website updates, and fulfillment of product orders. Secondary responsibilities include helping with fundraising events and an annual youth tour of Washington, D.C.
A successful candidate will have excellent time management and organization skills, as well as a high attention to detail. He/she should also have a working knowledge of computer operations and Microsoft products including Word, Outlook and Excel, as well at least a general understanding of social media (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn). Any experience with nonprofit work, fundraising, telecommunications, economic development, or rural communities, is helpful but not required. Candidate must be willing to travel.
The Foundation maintains a pleasant office within a large association and works closely with the association staff. Candidates should be able to work in a collaborative team environment.
