Senior Association Management System (AMS) Analyst, Membership Engagement – Salesforce/Fonteva
The Association of the United States Army (AUSA) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit educational organization with over 100,000 members and 121 chapters. The Association, headquartered in Arlington, VA, has an annual operating budget greater than $30 million.
The Senior Analyst, Membership Engagement reports to the Chief Technology Officer, and will have extensive collaboration with the entire AUSA National team, as well as our chapter volunteers around the world. This person will play an instrumental role in the management and administration of AUSA’s Association Management Software (AMS)/Membership Engagement platform.
The candidate will work extensively to analyze the AUSA database at strategic and technical levels to ensure a professional member experience and increased member retention. This candidate must possess a high-level of energy and a passion for collaboration, and will work closely with internal stakeholders to manage constituent data. This position calls for a high degree of understanding of association management software; including financial and constituent data. This person will maintain and administer membership records while guiding non-technical staff’s use of the system. Must be able to multi-task and demonstrate the ability to be successful in a deadline-oriented, fast-paced environment. Responsibilities:
Serve as functional expert for reporting constituent data and membership engagement.
Work with other team members to fulfill AUSA members’ experience, maintain, enhance and upgrade database processes, maximize efficiencies and effectiveness of membership processes and data.
Fulfill membership reports and data requests for internal customers. Analyze data for trends, insights, accuracy, and make recommendations for improvements.
Perform regular quality control reviews on data to assure the maintenance of high quality data; correct data in database.
Provide consistent and accurate research, information, and analysis to AUSA Senior Leadership and Department Managers.
Interact with development and end-user personnel to determine data access requirements, transaction rates, volume analysis, and other pertinent data required to develop and maintain integrated databases and reports.
Manage relationships between database end-users and department resources.
Communicate data administration concepts to management and staff via oral and written reports and presentations.
Work with the implementation team to build, configure, and roll out new solutions to the organization.
Think strategically and creatively to help develop the Membership Engagement team and enhance AUSA membership value.
Ability to quickly gain knowledge about AUSA and its programs to better understand how we can meet and exceed member needs.
Organize large amounts of information by creating and maintaining well organized systems; follow logical approaches to completing work; bring a project from inception to successful completion, and follow up, as appropriate
Translate strategies into step-by-step plans for action; monitor work progress to completion; effectively prioritize projects to support and advance coherent organizational mission; pay close attention to detail.
Work with staff and departments to satisfy ad hoc reporting requirements, including: working with various groups to determine the exact nature of the reporting required; determine if the required data is currently being collected; determine if reports already developed will satisfy reporting requirements; use currently available reporting tools to develop, verify, and deploy new reporting.
Bachelor’s degree in business or related field required; advanced degree a plus.
Experience with Salesforce/Fonteva required. Salesforce Certification preferred.
Experience in data analysis and the preparation of data reports.

Experience working in a nonprofit or association with a focus on membership and meetings is ideal.
Familiarity with, or connection to the US Army is welcomed.
