The American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages (ACTFL) representing 12,000 world language educators, as well as other language related professionals, both in the US and abroad, has partnered with Vetted Solutions as they seek to find an Executive Director (ED). ACTFL has a $15 million budget and a staff of 30.
Since its founding in 1967, ACTFL has become synonymous with innovation, quality, and reliability in meeting the changing needs of world language educators and their students. The ED of ACTFL is responsible for growing the reputation, influence, and membership of this professional association, as well as overseeing the implementation of all policies and actions approved by the ACTFL Board of Directors. Serving as ACTFL’s chief staff leader, the ED is also responsible for the execution and administration of services, programs, products, and operations of the association.
The successful candidate is an inspirational leader who is passionate about the teaching and learning of world languages to build on the successful legacy of the retiring ED. They will have a minimum of a master’s degree or equivalent along with five years of senior management leadership. They will possess the ability to lead an organization of this size/complexity and will have familiarity with the US education system. Bilingual or multilingual skills are desirable.
Employer will assist with relocation costs.
