The Corporate Alliances and Stewardship Specialist supports the Corporate Alliances team and the Resource Development Department broadly in stewarding PTA’s Proud National Sponsors and Supporting Sponsors. The Specialist supports the Resource Development relationship manager of each sponsor. They lead internal cross-functional efforts to meet corporate contractual deliverables and requests after new agreements are signed. The Specialist maintains regular communication with each corporate partner, liaisons with the communications team on digital and print advertising fulfillment, outreaches to relevant state PTA volunteer leaders, coordinates with the programs team on reporting, and supports sponsor roles in the PTA convention.
Stewards day-to-day tactical relationship with Proud National Sponsors and Supporting Sponsors, and tracks contractual obligations of sponsors throughout the contract term;
Assists sponsors evaluating and refining sponsor messaging to ensure it resonates with PTA audience;
Collaborates with various departments to ensure that all sponsor and donor contractual obligations are met timely and satisfactorily;
Coordinates sponsor stewardship reports, in collaboration with the communications and programs teams and contributes content as needed;
Contributes to the development of sponsorship proposals as needed;
Liaisons with accounting to ensure sponsors are invoiced and in good standing, and prepares internal reports for management;
Represents Resource Development on internal planning committees and working groups for various projects, including events, programs, and communication initiatives;
Liaises with communications team on purchased/sponsored digital and print advertising in all media assets, including magazine, website and e-Newsletters;
Tracks all accounting and delivery of advertising material, and liaisons back with sponsor about delivery;
Maintains highest level of confidentiality of donors/sponsors and prospect information; and
Works with Director of Resource Development & Corporate Alliances team on projects as the coordinator and project support specialist.
Minimum 2 years of experience in non-profit organizations, fundraising, donor relations, special event planning, and/or account management is required;
Previous experience in a not-for-profit organization or education sector is desirable.
Excellent interpersonal, professional presence, written, and verbal communication skills are required;
Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail is required;
Ability to effectively manage multiple projects, tasks, and deadlines is required;
Knowledge and understanding of meeting and event planning principles, requirements, and procedures is needed;
Requires an outgoing and poised individual that can work well with National PTA staff, board volunteers and leadership, as well as potential donors and sponsors;
Must possess the ability to work independently while keeping supervisor apprised of opportunities, issues, problems, and progress;
Professional demeanor and effective interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills;
Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills; and
Proven ability to prioritize, execute, and delegate project tasks; conform to shifting priorities; and mentor team members and co-workers as appropriate.
