The American College of Radiology (ACR), is at the forefront of the radiology evolution, representing more than 38,000 radiologists, radiation oncologists, nuclear medicine physicians and medical physicists. The ACR Foundation (ACRF) raises funds to advance the profession and practice of radiology to benefit patients with specific emphasis on health policy research.
The ACR is looking for a full-time Fundraising/Development Assistant in our Reston, Virginia office. The main responsibilities for this role include processing donations, maintaining the donor database, and delivering high levels of customer care. The assistant will coordinate fundraising activities, manage the donor stewardship program, and research, apply and manage grant applications. This position will report to the CFO and work with programmatic areas that are supported by the Foundation.
Specific responsibilities include:
Utilize and maintain Raisers Edge fundraising database to record transactions, manage donor profiles and information, run reports, and conduct data selections for campaigns
Manage donor correspondence including organizing and coordinating outreach and follow-up for all solicitations/campaigns
Conduct research on high net worth prospective donors
Explore foundation grant opportunities and partnerships; facilitate grant application process
Generate payment reminders and receipts/acknowledgement letters for donors
Reconcile financial data on a weekly and monthly basis; prepare giving reports and analysis
Monitor donor pledge payments and perform follow-up on delinquent payments
Manage fundraising campaigns including creating call lists, recruiting volunteers and managing the call schedules and related follow-up
Manage donor cultivation including developing brochures/newsletters, outreach to prospective donors and scheduling meetings
Assist with developing new fundraising campaigns and solicitations
Work with marketing and website teams to manage content, messaging and social media activities
Provide administrative support for scheduling committee meetings, creating agendas and taking notes/minutes
Prepare fundraising status reports for management and ACRF Executive Committee
Develop donor recognition and stewardship programs and communications
BA/BS in communications, public relations, business or related field preferred
3 years of experience in fundraising or related position
Passionate about customer service
Strong attention to detail and follow-through; excellent organizational skills
Ability to work effectively independently, in teams and across organization
Self-motivated, skilled at multi-tasking and prioritizing work
Experience using Microsoft Office suite and database management
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strength at building and maintaining relationships
