The Global Certifications Communications Manager is primarily responsible for implementing, launching, and providing communication management for the global certification department. The Communications Manager will be responsible for the development, coordination, implementation, execution of specific projects related to supporting the IIA’s global certifications department and execution of the long-term strategic plans. This position also works with the marketing department to ensure messaging for certifications products is on point and accurate. This position assists with the achievement of a $25m annual budget.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Builds and manages a communications plan around all certification program sales and service processes.
Develops the contents for all communication related to certifications.
Liaises with the marketing department to develop long and short-term marketing strategies to support certification’s business goals/objectives that includes coordinating and providing input and support with development and execution includes but not limited to:
Develops and executes project management for ongoing certification department initiatives.
Ensures quality and accuracy on all communications.
Liaises with other headquarters departments in aligning and integrating strategies and communication.
Develops and coordinates global-facing certification related newsletters, press releases and news items with internal stakeholders.
Global Certification Candidate Support:
This position provides occasional administrative support for candidates entered into the global certification programs that include, but not limited to:
Answering candidate questions and administrative support.
Reviewing and approving supporting documents.
Qualification in Internal Audit Leadership (QIAL) support:
This position will serve as a contact for all existing Chief Audit Executives (CAE) and aspiring CAE candidates that apply for entry into the QIAL program.
This position is responsible for program implementation support.
This includes program administration, training, and communication.
This position will work directly with current and aspiring CAE’s, internal staff, IIA volunteers, and IIA institutes around the globe.
Specific duties include but are not limited to:
Develops and maintains a positive rapport with, and good working knowledge of each current or aspiring CAE in the QIAL program.
Assist in the administration from the candidate perspective to create a world-class experience.
Create and implement reporting on program metrics and share with key internal stakeholders as agreed to.
Work with the marketing liaison to identify needed updates to existing marketing communications, and suggestions for new marketing strategies and opportunities.
This position will be required to pull certification data from the system and manipulate the data in excel using multiple databases and lookup tables.
Run reports and analysis ad-hoc to support Director and Vice President as needed.
Prepare reports and data for monthly Affiliate reporting and communications.
This position will work alongside the Marketing Manager to ensure mailing lists and accurate data is presented to key stakeholders throughout the project.
Will be assigned based on department needs or strategic initiatives.
Occasional travel may be required.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree or equivalent from an accredited college or technical school; or 3-5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience with an international organization would be an asset to The IIA and its global goals. Association management experience would be a plus.
