Convenience Distribution Association (CDA) seeks organized, energetic team player for Director of Education. CDA is a national trade association working on behalf of convenience products distributors that serve a variety of retail formats. Associate members include leading convenience products manufacturers, brokers, and others allied to the industry. This position will coordinate the association’s education foundation, all educational aspects including in person sessions at annual events and online, and assist in various aspects of event planning, preparation and delivery.
Primary duties include:
Coordinate online training and continuing education
Coordinate annual scholarship program
Manage annual award process and development of program script
Recommend and coordinate speakers for meetings and events
Plan and execute webinars
Interact with members, trainers, speakers, program participants
Coordinate work of the Education and Research Committee, Events Committee, and Past Chair’s Council
Assist with meetings, events and event registrations
Attend association events as staff support
Manage and assist with other projects as needed
Positive attitude, excellent written and verbal communication and computer skills are a must. Strong organizational skills, time management, and attention to detail. Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
Candidates must be proficient in Microsoft Office and be able to learn the organization’s database system and marketing tool.
The ideal candidate will have trade association and/or distribution industry experience. Some travel required.
Required Education: Four year degree
