Manager, Public Policy

We are seeking a candidate for the Manager, Public Policy position in Alexandria, VA. This position is responsible for providing support on legislative and regulatory issues affecting the senior living industry at the federal and state levels. Responsibilities will include monitoring and tracking legislative priorities, researching current trends affecting the senior living industry, supporting programmatic interests of Argentum, and liaising with members of Congress and their staff, the White House, federal agencies, state legislators and relevant non-governmental organizations.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree with a concentration in public policy, government affairs or senior living and two years of Capitol Hill experience in the field of health policy is preferred. Proven experience working with Congress, federal agencies and national organizations and associations is also preferred. The desired candidate should have experience and working knowledge of federal health programs, the budget and appropriations process and knowledge of aging issues and related legislative, regulatory and policy issues. Candidates must have excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to work in a collaborative, team-based environment. |

We offer a competitive salary and benefits package, which includes options for teleworking, summer days office closings, and a week off between December holidays. Due to COVID, this position is currently remote.
