Search Announcement Description of Position The Association for Education in Journalism and Mass Communication (AEJMC) and the Association of Schools of Journalism and Mass Communication (ASJMC) are seeking an outstanding executive director with a commitment to fostering research, teaching, and service in journalism, public relations, advertising, and other forms of mediated communication. The AEJMC-ASJMC executive director will support and advance institutional priorities and work to build reciprocal relationships with our larger community. The executive director, who will oversee a staff currently at 8.5 full-time equivalent employees, will report to the AEJMC-ASJMC board of directors and will have extensive interactions with faculty and academic leaders as well as administrators from across the discipline. The executive director will lead and foster partnerships that link university, nonprofit, government, and industry resources to address AEJMC-ASJMC priorities.
