Director of Membership, Marketing & Communications
Society for Vascular Surgery
Summary Directs and manages all member services functions, as well as the comprehensive marketing and communications strategy for the SVS, SVS PSO/VQI, SVS Foundation and SVS PAC. Responsible for the development and implementation of membership services and operations. This includes oversight of the design, accuracy, function, and operation of membership elements within the database and development and implementation of membership retention and engagement efforts across member segments. This position is also responsible for assessing, analyzing, and developing new ideas to strengthen member value and managing the administration of the SVS Affinity Program portfolio. Using best-practice principles of service marketing and communications effectiveness, the director’s role is to manage the development of consistent strategies and the incorporation of the SVS brands into all customer/member touch-points and measure results. This position is responsible for managing the development of marketing plans and budgets that reflect the Society’s evolving strategies, financial goals, and available data; and that consider existing audiences, potential new audiences, trends, forecasts, and the competitive landscape. The Director of Membership, Marketing & Communications provides oversight, supervision and leadership for all membership and marketing staff. What you’ll own (Responsibilities)

What you’ll bring to the job (Requirements)
Physical Requirements & Environment Typical office setting with routine sitting and occasional standing. Routine use of basic office equipment and computer. Travel to the Society’s annual meeting is required; additional local and/or long-distance travel to board or committee meetings may be required. Occasional evening and/or weekend work maybe required based on business needs. Routine telecommuting is allowed.
