Senior Director of Legislative Affairs
National Automobile Dealers Association (NADA)
Summary: Senior position responsible for developing public policy arguments and legislative strategies in support of NADA’s agenda. Works with the Vice President and Senior Vice President of Legislative Affairs to implement NADA’s legislative agenda before Congress. Essential Functions:

Education and Work Experience Bachelor’s Degree required, Master’s Degree or Juris Doctor Degree preferred. Extensive experience (8+ years) in the federal legislative process, which may include either senior staff level on Capitol Hill or a national trade association. Senate experience, tax expertise, and/or auto industry experience a plus. Must have exceptional writing and oral communication skills. Key competencies include problem solving, strategic thinking, negotiation skills, results orientation, attention to detail, analytical skills, and ability to manage legislative issues. Excellent advocacy and political skills with strong emphasis on bipartisan relationships.
