The Marketing Manager is responsible for implementing marketing strategies for the American Society of Neuroradiology (ASNR) and the Foundation of the ASNR including electronic media (website, email, social media) to raise the visibility and perceived value of the ASNR and the American Journal of Neuroradiology (AJNR) brands, products and services including Neurographics, and the affiliated specialty societies, to both members and nonmembers. This position also is directly responsible for ASNR marketing, including the ASNR and AJNR social media platforms. Additionally, the position provides membership communications and marketing support as needed for the specialty societies managed by ASNR, disseminating timely and topical content including news, educational, and legislative updates to members to demonstrate and reinforce the value of society membership.
This individual will strive to increase utilization of current products, such as ASNR journals, online education, annual meeting and other offerings, and will promote the value of these services in order to increase ASNR membership and product sales. In addition, this person will work cooperatively with affiliated specialty societies to promote their brands, products and membership.
DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:
Work with staff, ASNR committees, and affiliate specialty society designates to develop marketing plans and strategies including messaging for ASNR website, email campaigns and social media sites, including Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram and others. Evaluate marketing campaign efforts regularly by generating metrics linked to practical marketing benchmarks. Responsible for providing day-to-day electronic communications support for the ASNRin addition to supporting social media activities for different societies.
This position requires travel (may include international) to ASNR Annual Meeting (5-6 days) and daily travel (2-3 days) to RSNA Annual Meeting. Overtime is required during the ASNR and RSNA Annual Meetings.
Create and implement ASNR marketing plans including calendars and project management tools.
Support and improve ongoing membership communications.
Maintain the AJNR and ASNR websites and online editorial and social media presence (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram).
Update ASNR website as needed.
Maintain all social media channels for ASNR and each society it manages on multiple platforms (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram).
Prepare and disseminate ASNR and Specialty/Regional Society communications (email and others) including dues renewals; manage mailing lists and announcements.
Create campaign to bring in new members.
Assist in developing new electronic features for ASNR and new electronic social media features for AJNR as requested by editors and volunteers.
Execute editorial and social media calendars for the creation and dissemination of content for ASNR, and specialty societies across a range of media platforms.
Creation and execution of marketing campaigns for all departments in order to demonstrate brand awareness and leverage member programs and services.
Annual meeting marketing support including marketing/communications lead of annual meeting app.
Manage membership dues renewal communications.
Monitor conversation, schedule posts, and provide reporting and metrics.
Assist in development of content calendars.
Develop population of followers.
Other duties as assigned.
Proven marketing experience, with preference for experience with associations, event marketing, and membership marketing
Understanding of marketing tools, techniques and metrics
Proficiency in bulk email marketing tools (e.g. Constant Contact, Mailchimp)
Experience/and or educational background required in social media platforms (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn), and management tools (Hootsuite)
Website content maintenance and basic HTML skills (WordPress) preferred
Ability to prioritize workload and manage multiple projects simultaneously
Strong administrative and organizational skills
Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or related field and demonstrated experience with marketing campaigns and social media. Prior experience in an association highly preferred, other health care related organization or agency/multi-client experience desirable.
Reports to Chief Operating Officer and works extensively with the Meetings Director, Education Director, Membership Manager, and the AJNR Managing Editor. Has contact with all other staff members.

Staff liaison to Web and Social Media Committee
Contact with key leaders, members, and vendors
Work with a range of physician volunteers, representing Society leadership, editors, committee members, and specialty society contacts
