NVAA is growing and looking for a dynamic, energetic, and thoughtful individual to support membership acquisition activities for the Association. This position is currently temporary/part-time with potential for full time, based on your results.
Your Primary Duties: Membership Acquisition:
Phone calls: this job requires several hours per day on the phone. You will be calling prospective members from the NVAA Office located in Arlington – Courthouse area.
Emails: Once contact is made via phone and an email address has been secured, add the prospective member to the non-member database and document conversation.
Appointment Setting: Should the prospect agree to an appointment with the Executive Director, you will schedule the appointment and send calendar invitations.
Marketing Collateral: From your previous success in developing collateral, you will mock-up design and text for production. This collateral will be used by the Membership Committee and you to promote membership with NVAA.
Your Secondary Duties: Membership Retention
Assist the Executive Director in contacting current members to secure sponsorships.
Make phone calls to existing members and invite them to register for upcoming events, trainings, seminars, etc.
Other duties as assigned by the Executive Director.
High School education with computer literacy: 4+ years (college degree, preferred)
Experience with StarChapter, preferred.
Consultative selling approach, required.
Thorough understanding of the association member lifecycle.
Passion for making phone calls and overcoming objections.
Clear and concise written and verbal communication is required.
Follow direction well, but also embrace your entrepreneurial spirit to make this job your own.
Experience, knowledge, and personal connections in the multifamily housing industry a plus!
Attention to detail, required.
Ability to sit/stand for long periods of time in an office environment, while making phone calls.
Ability to clearly document conversations and keep track of progress using Excel or related technology.
