The National Association of Home Builders is seeking a Program Manager who will be responsible for implementing NAHB’s Sustainability and Green Building policy program at the federal, state, and local levels by proactively promoting NAHB positions, providing critical analysis of law and regulation, tracking, and interpreting emerging issues, assisting in the development and implementation of strategies, and providing advocacy, education, and technical assistance to members and HBAs.  Assigned issues include, but are not limited to: resiliency, water, and resource efficiency; green building certification; and green remodeling.

Qualified candidates will have a technical understanding of residential green building techniques and federal programs associated with resiliency, resource management, water conservation and/or climate change.  Candidates must have demonstrated analytical, written, and verbal communication skills to address complex issues concisely and effectively to a wide range of audiences.  The ability to review and understand technical information related to residential construction and design is a must.

A minimum of three years of experience in program management is strongly preferred.  Prior experience and a broad knowledge of all aspects of residential construction are needed, particularly in the areas of ware efficiency, green building, and resiliency.  A bachelor’s degree in, Sustainability, Architecture, Construction Management, Engineering or equivalent in education and experience is required.
