Join the NSPE team. We are looking for a talented customer-centric individual to serve as member of our Customer Service and Data Specialist team. The ideal candidate will have excellent customer service skills, strong prioritization and multitasking abilities, competency with data entry and technology, and be a flexible team player.

The Customer Service and Data Specialist acts as an external-facing representative of NSPE’s Membership Department and NICET to provide exemplary customer service and support. This position delivers precise information regarding the services, products, and materials NSPE & NICET offers in a variety of capacities—including but not limited to fielding external inquiries, troubleshooting problems, and analyzing customer information

Based in Old Town Alexandria, NSPE is a professional association focused on providing professional engineers the resources to ensure that the public can be confident that engineering decisions affecting their health, safety and wellbeing are made by ethical, accountable professionals. Excellent oral communication and business writing skills.
Strong interpersonal skills, including ability to present a professional first impression of the organization through phone presentation and in-person greeting.

Good marketing skills – knowledge of all products and services, delivery options, and alternative solutions to needs.
Strong computer application skills, including Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Clarus and AMS/database systems.

Ability to handle a high volume of incoming calls
Ability to work well within a team environment and independently to achieve individual and department goals, adapting quickly to changes in priorities and responsibilities.
Effective negotiation skills to effectively transact business with members, candidates, certification holders, employers, government agencies, staff and the general public.
