SUMMARY OF POSITION The Vice President, Advocacy is responsible for major portions of ASTA’s work to advocate for the travel agency community at all levels of government, including federal lobbying, state lobbying, grassroots campaigns, and the Society’s political action committee (ASTAPAC). Supported by the Manager, Advocacy and reporting to the Executive Vice President, Advocacy, the Vice President’s day-to-day responsibilities range from direct lobbying to managing outside consultants to attendance at Congressional fundraisers to updating ASTA members, staff, and volunteer leadership on advocacy-related developments.
